Tales of Penundra
The World of Penundra
The land of Penundra is a large island situated in the Grey Deep. The eastern coast leads into the fertile interior of the land mass, with a series of large rivers and small lakes providing countless areas for farming and small scale industry. A series of mountains dominate the northern regions and were aptly named the Coastal Ridge by the original settlers of the Silven Glade. A lone mountain peak rises from the center of the land and proved inaccessible for generations of settlers. It was eventually taken as a home by the Mystics, who built the monastic city of Lorehaven on its peak. The western half of Penundra is defined by the famous Bay of Kanthon in the north and the mysterious island of Carac to the south. While the King of Decha has laid claim to the entirety of Penundra, the cities to the west tend to stick to their own, paying little more than lip service to their brethren to the south and east.
The history of Penundra will be detailed here.
The wilderness of Penundra is home to the many beasts and beings that make up the heart of the land and while the civilized world has overtaken a portion of it, the rest of the land is still far beyond the control of modern society.
